# Autmo

## Hosts and languages

One language per host. The same inventory is published on each; the route
vocabulary is translated, so paths differ between hosts.

autmo.ee is the primary host and the main market; it is the one to prefer when
the language is not otherwise determined. A path from one host does not work on
another; it redirects to a 404 page. There is no Latvian version.

## URL grammar

    /{listings}[/{page}[/{perPage}]]        all listings, perPage defaults to 50

Make slugs sit at the path root, e.g. /Mercedes-Benz/... . Model and model-group
URLs share the same shape and are distinguished by the slug itself. The {parts}
token per host:

## Narrowing a model listing

Append a grouping segment, then `key:value` pairs chained with slashes. The
grouping token per host:

Facet VALUES are translated too, not just the keys. `Varuosagrupp:andurid`
works on autmo.ee but the same value is meaningless on eng.autmo.ee. Take valid
values from the model's own listing page on the host you are querying.

IMPORTANT: an unrecognised facet value does not produce an error. It is silently
ignored and the full unfiltered result set is returned instead. A guessed slug
will therefore look like it worked. Do not guess values.

The site's own on-page facet links use a `filter` segment instead of the
grouping one (`filter`, `suodatin`, `filtras`). Those are excluded in
/robots.txt because the facet space is unbounded, and they do not appear in the
sitemaps. Prefer the grouping form above: it takes the same keys, it is
crawlable, and it is what the sitemaps publish.

## Sitemaps

    https://autmo.ee/sitemap-index      lists 40 child sitemaps
    5,000 URLs per child, ~520 KB each uncompressed, ~25 KB gzipped
    ~195,000 URLs in total, ~38 MB uncompressed, ~1.8 MB over the wire
    regenerated nightly between 03:00 and 03:40 UTC

Every host serves this same Estonian sitemap set; there is no per-language
sitemap. Listings are ephemeral, so a URL that resolves today may be gone next
month. Do not treat listing URLs as durable references.
